Research Topic- Generation of Electricity through Foot-steps:

The major problem in this world is the energy deficiency. Now-a-days energy demand is increasing and which is life-line for people. Due to this number of energy resources are generated and wasted. When a person walks, he loses energy to the road surface in the form of impact, vibration, sound etc, due to the transfer of his weight on to the road surface, through foot falls on the ground during every step. This energy can be tapped and converted in the usable form such as in electrical form using the principle called piezoelectric effect.


Piezoelectric effect is the effect in which mechanical vibrations, Pressure or strain applied to piezoelectric material is converted into electrical form. This model is based on the phenomenon of piezoelectricity i.e. electricity through variation of pressure. In this model we have created a panel in which we have installed piezoelectric transducers which convert pressure energy to electrical. This project's practical approach lies in the areas which are densely populated like railway station, mall, etc. The aim of this project is to increase the source of renewable energy (Renewable electricity).
